Terra Nova Research & Development, Inc. is the culmination of more than 50 years of product formulation and plant physiology knowledge of the owner, David Keen. Keen has been the inventor and pioneer of many horticultural products commonly used today; to name a few - potassium acetate, silica phosphite, humic and fulvic acids, chelated micronutrients and mycorrhizae. Keen has strong entrepreneurial skills, having started a fertilizer business from scratch and obtaining sales in the millions within 10 years before selling to Kellogg Garden Supply. Once his non-compete expired he started Terra Nova Research & Development to formulate novel plant foods based on ProBiotic ingredients. As a result was the invention of ProVida, a microbial and amino acid based product that converts it’s amino acids into bioactive plant growth molecules effecting canopy and root growth, flowering and fruiting and increased brix content.

The love of horticulture and gardening drove David out of retirement to create excitement with organic plant foods with his new company, Terra Nova Research & Development, Inc. His first revolutionary invention is ProVida, also known as Instant Compost Tea. It replaces compost and acts as a bio-stimulant when drenched on plant roots or sprayed on the foliage. David soon plans to have this product in every growers lineup, and looks forward to changing the citrus industry one grove at a time!
